What is MSM?
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a naturally-occuring form of dietary sulfur found in fresh raw foods. Fruits that are grown outside they way nature intended, instead of green houses, will get MSM with rain. Unfortunately, as the majority of our food is grown in green houses and washed fastidiously before eating, MSM is deficient in foods in todays modern farming methods.
MSM is volatile and destroyed by cooking. In the body, MSM softens leathery internal tissues by rebuilding connective tissue with elastic sulfur bonds. This is how MSM builds collagen and maintains healthy joints. This is also why MSM increases flexibility (good for yoga, martial arts, dance, running, any type of body movement activity). MSM also speeds up recovery time from sore muscles, and is great for recovery from athletic injuries.
My Personal Review!!
My husband who trains in martial arts intensively 4 times a week has found that having taken MSM has increased his flexibility and suppleness. He can kick higher, in a more controlled and precise manor as he has greater control over his body. On top of that, he has found that his skin has improved overall. The tone and structure of his skin has improved. However, if he has been bad and binged on "bad foods" - then taking MSM has great ability to detox the "crap" out of you! So this stuff really does work.
For myself, also into martial arts, training 2-3 times a week, I have also found that my flexibility and suppleness has improved. I have also found the same results as my husband. My face seems to have a healthier glow on it! So its pretty amazing and little known amoung the health crowd. Its something you have to try and use consistently to get these types of results. Thus, having a big bottle will last you a long time and you will be able to see results for yourself.
NB. Just so you know, my husband and I are people who care about our health very much and this is not the only health supplement we take! We don't drink tap water for one, nor do we drink any alcohol, we only drink steam distillation water at home, we eat majority organic fruits and vegetables, we are vegetarians (no fish or seafood), we also take Kiki Greens Superfoods, probiotics, we have done the Blessed Herbs detoxes multiple times, so after having done all that our bodies are probably a lot cleaner as we dont take further intoxicants as most people do (with alcohol, anything with caffeine like tea or coffee, soft drinks) to pollute the body further. So when we take supplements, we can really feel whether or not it works as our bodies are probably more sensory acute to what is happening.
My old mother who suffers on and off with arthiritis pain uses MSM to help with her condition. Why does she suffer on and off with arthirities pain? Because when she is eating a good diet, and taking all her supplements, she does not suffer any pain! But if and when she cannot be bothered or too lazy to take the supplements and do whats right, her pain comes back. Its like being fit. You cannot expect to keep being fit for months to come if you stop exercising. Its the exercise that keeps you being fit. Once you stop exercising, you will become less and less so.
What does MSM do?
MSM works to build collagen, helping to create smooth skin, thick lustrous hair, and strong nails. MSM makes the tissues more permeable so that they may move nutrients in and toxins out with greater ease. MSM has a remarkable effect at neutralizing foreign proteins (i.e. allergens, toxins, undigested food) making it anti-inflammatory.
MSM works to enhance beauty and restore vitality to our skin and joints. This is why it is good for joint pains, arthiritis, skin problems. MSM works particularly well in conjunction with vitamin-C rich foods. This MSM comes to you as a pure white crystaline powder.
How to use?
Begin use by mixing one tablespoon with two cups of pure water or fresh orange juice. It does not taste very good, so what I do, is I put in a table spoon in my 1.5 Liter capacity smoothy maker with 4-5 bananas (however much the smoothy machine can take) and 2 punnets of blue berries, strawberries, or raspberries. I then share this with my husband. If we want more effect with the MSM, we just add more in! You can adjust how much or how little you like according to how much benefit you want to get from it.

How do I know its working?
There are 2 ways to make sure you benefit from it. First thing to do is to take enough of it! Dont expect to take half a teaspoon and feel the effects straight away. If you take a tablespoon to yourself in a juice drink of smoothie, and you are someone who knows your body, ie. you are someone who regularly practices yoga, dance, martial arts, you will know when you have increased flexibility and suppleness.
If you are someone who does not do any exercise, then you will not be able to see things that are easy to measure like suppleness, whether you can reach your toes, etc.
However, if you take it regularly, And I mean regularly will get the benefits more than somebody who takes it once and expects mirables from that one time they take it. If you take it regularly, you will see benefits of skin improvements. So you will get out of it, what you put into your body! Simple as that. If you want to go for it, then this is the most economical way to take MSM.
